The problem with Quake is that it is a DRUG, not a game.
In my 3rd year at college, my roommates were Quake addicts - it was sad, they put their social lives and studies behind it. Many freshmen, in fact, drop out of universities because of it. Quake has turned many potential great coding/drawing/tracking minds into zombies.
