Five hectic days are over, and we are now more or less finished with the cleaning up. When we have gotten our breath back we will make all the compo-contributions available for download.

As The Gathering approaches fast, be advised that table reservations are now closed. Those without a reserved table can do so at TG, but these people will handled a bit slower than those who managed to squeeze thru. Also be aware that we don't have time to read email these last few hours before we open, so if you send us any mail you can not expect an answer.
	BUSTRIP FROM OSLO, UPDATE	April 6. 1998

	Winner found for TELL-COCA-COLA-ABOUT-TG compo	April 5. 1998
The grand winner of 5 tickets to TG98 is Zonix, or Simon Olsen, with his grand poem (translated from Norwegian) "What is the Earth without the Sun, what is TG without Cola? Hva er jorda uten sola? Hva er TG uten Cola?" The ASCII drawing of the cokebottle was the winning touch! Congratulations to a deserving winner.
	Fake tickets rumoured to be in existence	April 3. 1998
From IRC, we've picked up rumours about fake tickets being produced and sold. This is a bad thing, especially for those who sell AND buy these tickets. TG entrance system will EASILY detect fake tickets. Anyone caught USING these tickets will be made a citizen arrest of and turned over to the police. If you were fooled into buying any fake tickets, immediately report the seller to the police. The penalty for document forgery of monetary instruments is PRETTY hefty. And to the forger(s), TG Organizers have had thermal printers since 1982. We know ALL the tricks, so give us SOME credit!
	Meet Lara Croft by winning a trip to the E3 conference!	April 3. 1998
In the Java/HTML compo, one GRAND winner will win an all paid trip to the Mekka of computergaming. The E3 conference is THE games event of the year. This year in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The prize is given by Telenor Nextel. The editor will resign from TG Organizing to compete for this SUPREMO-prize! Lara Croft+Editor=FUN FUN FUN IN THE SUN! PS! You still have to check up Lara yourself when you get to E3 in May 27-30.

	TG Organizers gets the fatwah for cruel prank!	April 2. 1998
4 organizers of TG gets put under ban of the fatwah from the high priesthood of partygods! In a cruel and unjust April fools prank, TG Organizers unwittingly caused the wrath of several hundred possible partygoers. The lucky fellows at Coca Cola (which earlier this week decided against sponsoring TG) is still trying to sort out their mailboxes. Hopefully, quite a few of you told them just how important Coca-Cola is to the scene! We are in fact the single largest Coke-drinking culture in the world. PS! We will actually make a winner of the BEST entry. Stay tuned Friday night for winning entry.

Some people whine, other people do. Contraz took the challenge and wrote a cool intro for the Amiga. Here it is in all it's glory, and Contraz got tickets to go to The Gathering. In addition, Komplex, Orange and Crusaders presents the Java-intro to TG98. Both are available from the download-page.

Another UTTERLY cool facility has been implemented in the TG98 web. At anytime, press the 'SPEAK TO ME' button on the lefthand side of the page for a spoken version of the web! Warning: This feature requires high-bandwith as it generates about 1-3Mb of speech per page. As this feature is a tad experimental, please notify us if a page is not working properly with the script. Known to work with Netscape, various results with Internet Explorer. Try it for a hilarious time!

The utterly cool Mr. Lee will be present at TG98 Thursday evening. He'll be the OverSupremoMasterHeadJudge of the "Battle of The Scenes-compo" live on stage. Finally, a settling of WHICH scene is 3lite-d00dz or lamerz! No noodling about!

After wearing black robes and chanting for half an hour (uns)table.gathering.org now seems to be more willing to cooperate. Those of you who have offered live goats and virgins for our up-and-comming rituals can keep both as we managed to align the server with both Mekka and uranus at the same time. If this doesn't work we will simply drive a large stake through its CPU and bury it in someones backyard along with massive amounts of garlic..."

The table registration will be down tomorrow (wednesday, March 25.) from 10 to 17 due to pagan rituals. We are going to sacrifice a black chicken and mumble things near the PC while wearing black robes, if that doesn't work we will be more drastic, please drop use a note if you happen to have a goat or a couple of virgins lying around. We will still keep it aligned with Mekka just to be on the safe side.

Bjorn "Dr.Awesome" Lynne will release his new album "Wizard of the Winds" at TG98. Official release is on the opening day of TG. (The album will not be in the record-shops until 2 months later!)

Team17 Software Ltd. (Makers of "Worms", etc.) will send their Development Director, Martyn Brown, and their Programming Manager, Rob Hill, to search for programming and artist talents and possibly arrange hiring staff from TG98.
	Dagbladet supports TG98.	March 21. 1998
One of our mediapartners, Dagbladet, printed today, Saturday March 21st, a halfpage ad for TG on page 10. This give recognition for TG and all the scenes to most of the Norwegian population. Show it to your buddies on coolness effect on where you're going this Easter! That is if you're lucky enough to own a ticket....

We have a lot of people coming in from other countries than Norway and Sweden. You guys do not need to buy a ticket in advance!!! We have set aside extra room for the guys coming from outside Norway and Sweden!

We have recently recieved confirmation that all the Norwegian tickets to The Gathering 1998 has been sold. Even if you do not have a ticket yet, you still have a chance. Read our sold-out-in-Norway-guide for more info. (This guide is in Norwegian only.) A FEW Tickets are still available in Sweden, and Swedes can buy their ticket at BiljettDirekt.

The table-reservation server is now facing Mekka, and seems to be feeling a lot better already. In addition to this, the server will be rebooted on an hourly basis. This does of course mean that it will be unavailable for a few minutes every hour, but it's still an improvement.

It took a bit longer than planned, but finally these web-pages are beginning to take form. It's not completely ready, but at least most of the design is ready, and I've finished making most of the Perl-scripts this site needs. That means that we can consentrate on the contents from now on.
