Scene.org Awards announces this year's nominees

The nominees for the Scene.org Awards for 2009 were announced this morning. Read on for more information about the awards, the nominees, and how to make sure you don't miss this year's award ceremony.

The Gathering is proud to sponsor the Scene.org Awards, "the Oscars of demoscene", which highlights the best of the best of the previous years demoscene releases. Some of the categories include "Best Demo", "Best 4k intro", "Best Graphics" and "Public's Choice". Previous winners include many productions released at The Gathering, and last year's winner of the demo compo, Rupture, is nominated in several categories. This year's nominees also include Norwegian demogroups such as Andromeda, Portal Process, and fresh new talents like bitFlavour. The Scene.org Awards 2009 ceremony is held in Germany during the Breakpoint demo party, but will be shown live at The Gathering on saturday evening. The ceremony includes a live video chat between the two parties, so make sure you don't miss the festivities!
