Advantages of being a member of KANDU

The Gathering is offering two different types of tickets; one included membership in KANDU and one without. What is different? KANDU explains why you should join KANDU!

As a TG participant, you can choose one of two different ticket types — one that includes a KANDU membership and one which does not. If you choose to purchase the ticket without the KANDU membership, you will be charged an additional fee.

Since 1996 KANDU has been responsible for organising The Gathering, and since then all participants have been included as members of KANDU. As a member you have the right to vote in KANDU's democratic system, and the opportunity to (but not the obligation to) participate in KANDU's annual meeting, run for positions in KANDU and more.

As a member of the organization you can also benefit from the member offers. KANDU arranges gaming happenings, various lectures and more. KANDU's offices are also available for rent for a number of other occasions.

KANDU has an abundance of equipment used in its events, most of which is available for rent or lending (depending on the event) all year as well. Most of KANDU's equipment is used yearly at The Gathering.

As a member aged 26 or lower, you will be added to the members list we send the Norwegian government. Every year we recieve tens of thousands of dollars in support of the work we do, based on the member count. This support drives KANDU's events and equipment purchases.

We therefore sincerely hope that you will join in as a KANDU member, and make sure KANDU gets the support it needs to keep The Gathering alive year after year.
