Info crew

INFO

Info-crew consists of four different sub-crews:

  • Info:Content - Creates and publishes content for i.e. gathering.org
  • Info:Desk - Responsible for the desk
  • Info:Press - Responsible for all contact with the press
  • Info:Systems - Responsible for most of the systems used by the crew at The Gathering, i.e. wannabe.gathering.org, the Cola-boards and the SMS service

The main function of the Info crew is to bring information in the best way possible to other crew, to the press and to the participants. This is done trough several channels like websites, information boards, blogs, press releases and information from Info:Desk. Most of these systems are developed and administrated by Info:Systems.

Info:Content

Info:Content produce and publish content visible to other crews, participants and press. This is something that is done before, during and after the partyl. In addition to gathering.org, Info:Content have their own magazine; The News Gathering, or TNG for short. To get the best result, we need kick ass graphics, articles, statistic and pictures, and we need you to help us out!

Info:Content collaborates with Info:Systems, which is our most important support team, as they administrate and develop most of the systems we use in our work.

Among the other crews we collaborate with are Security, which we make informational posters for.

To apply for a position in Info:Crew you need to be a good writer, photographer, or a good graphic designer. It is important that you have time before and after the party as well. We need keep participants and crew updated at all times!

If you have any questions, just contact Kristoffer aka xenox (langemyh[at]stud.ntnu.no or Berit Emilie aka merlin (emilie[at]existemi.net)at the IRC channel #tg at EFNet.

Their location is in a big desk, which has been in the center of she ship the past years, and in the reception, where they take care of day passes among other things. All this is done during the party, but before the party the they get the Info desk up and running and pack a lot of goodie bags!

Before the party, Info:Desk will also assist Info:Content in making content for gathering.org.

If you've got any questions regarding Info:Desk, don't hesitate to contact René (arzmir[at]gmail.com).
