Information regarding the game selection for The Gathering 2010

Which games we use in our tournaments is always a great and sometimes difficult decision to make. There are a large number of participants at The Gathering, and many of those are taking part in the game contests we organize. This is of course something we appreciate, but our challenge is that we can not always please everyone.

There are many queries about the selection of games, and everyone just wants their favorite game to be a part of the competitions.
This is unfortunately not possible, but we hope that this year's list will be well received from the majority of gamers.

Console Games
This was something we tried out for the first time during The Gathering 2009.
We decided that we would like to continue with this, so we will have console competitions this year too.
The games that will be competed in on console at this year's event are as follows:
Tekken 6
Fifa 2010

Further information about rules, platforms used and more will come on our site, gathering.org

PC
Last year there was quite a reaction around the game selection because we chose to leave out one game we unfortunately had no possibility to host. But this year we have a competition in Counter-Strike: Source. This will be arranged in cooperation with The Hellfragger League. More information on our site, gathering.org and on hellfragger.no.

The games this year are:
Counter-Strike 1.6
Counter-Strike: Source
Quake Live
DotA
Trackmania Nations

We hope that as many as possible will appreciate this year's list of games.
There are possibilities for more competitions and expansion of the lists for both console and PC, but no guarantee that this will happen. If there are changes they will be announced on our official site www.gathering.org.
For further information and questions. Please contact the Event: game on game@gathering.org and on IRC channel # TG.Game (QuakeNet).
Only information on www.gathering.org is official.
