Security crew

Security consists of three sub crews

  • Security: Security
  • Security: Medic
  • Security: Support

Security is responsible for the safety of participants at The Gathering, and is one of the largest crews.

Security:Security

Security:Security is the crew who is closest to the participants. They are a bunch of friendly and openminded people who are hosts rather than big bad gorillas. They make sure everyone is having a good time by patroling the arena and talking to the participants.

Every shift is divided into pairs of two. The tasks consist of checking admission to the event area, patroling in and around the arena, organizing the parking, lead an evacuation in the case of an emergency, and several other tasks that arise when the participants arrive and depart. In addition to that, they make sure that all regulations are being followed, and that the fire brigade and the police are content.

One of the advantages of working in Security:Security is that it's one of the crews with the best defined shifts. You are given an eight-hour shift (08.00-16.00, 16.00-00.00, 00.00-08.00) every day, and you are free to spend the remaining 16 hours as you please.

Two of the main keywords are polite, but determined.

Like Security: Security, Security: Medic are working in pairs, and has the same shift solution. Applicants for this crew must be skilled in first aid or medical expertise. It is important to keep the head cool in difficult situations.

Security: Medic has a duty of confidentiality, so discretion is important.

Security:Support
