Core crew

Core-crew consists of four different sub-crews:

  • Core:Core - Responsible for handing of sponsors, VIPs and more
  • Core:CrewCare - Responsible for the food to the crew
  • Core:Logistics - Responsible for the storage, transport and equipments needed at TG
  • Core:Support - Responsible for recycling, cleaning tasks and other things

Core is responsible for handing of VIPs, feeding our crew members, control our equipments. keep the Vikingship clean and more.

Core:Core

Core is a team who take assignments that usually cuts across several crew. They take care of the handling of the sponsors, VIPs and more. In addition, they take the tasks that do not fall naturally under any other crew and ensure that they are carried out

Core: CrewCare

CrewCare is there to make TG a good experience for the volunteers who are working during the event. They make sure crew members are satisfied and feel good during the event.

They go rounds and giving drinks to the working crew members, prepare food for crew members, ensures that everyone gets the food, buying the ingredients , and making the crewroom a nice place to be, where the crew can come and relax and get new energy to continue working. The staff of CrewCare should be good listeners, and offer a should to cry on if anyone is having a hard time.

You work 8 hour shifts, no special qualifications are required, but good spirits, good humor under hard pressure and ability to cope with some critism is fine. In return, you get a job in the place where all the crew meet together.

Core:Logistics

Core: Logistics controls all equipment that are handed out and used on The Gathering.
Although the Core:Logistics is relatively calm during the event, they have a lot of work to do before and after The Gathering. The tasks consists of getting equipment to Hamar before, during and after The Gathering, and keep track of the storage under TG. One of the tasks of logistics is to get hold of things that are suddenly needed during TG. They can provide almost anything as long as there is a store that is still open or we can make use of our many connections.

The picture: Last year we had the sword from Blizzard in our storage ;)

Core:Support

Core:Support is a dedicated group that handles some tasks that do not naturally fall under other disciplines. This applies to things like recycling, deposit schemes, cleaning tasks, control of things that will happen in regular intervals.
