Rigging the Stage at The Gathering

How about mixing 30 tons of state of the art audiovisual equipment, with a pricetag far beyod your wildest dreams? 52 movinghead lights, 80 stationary lights, powerful strobelights, supercool fogmachines, brand new Barco projectors and 24 hardcore 18" subwoofers?

While you're walking restlessly around, waiting for this years action to start, the Eventcrew at The Gathering are working their heads off, prepearing this years stage. Over 2500 meters of signalcable. 120 square meters of stagefloor. 150 meters of aluminium truss rig. A bunch of speakers. 20 chainmotors with 600 meters of chain. 3 semi-trailers loaded with stuff. Loads of fun!

Event:Stage chief, Tobias Hansen from Denmark, has put together a wild setup that should satisfy even the most picky audiences. News this years is the spread of our soundsystem. The Agora area in front of the stage is where its all going down this easter. BBQ with VOM - a Norwegian rockband consisting of 4 lovely ladies. Wrestling. Qpad gaming compos. Meet new people and have fun. The soundsystem on the stage is set up to provide an amazing soundexperience for those willing to get up from their seats and go to the Agora. Those wishing to continue their coding and fragging, will be less bothered with loud volumes from the entertainment this year.
