: I think you may have a very good point here. Or you may not.
: Do you look upon this solution to the problem with slow network
: speed as a solution out of respect for the other people at the
: party, that actually use the net for constructive purposes, or
: do you look at it as a solution so that you and other quake posses
: can get more speed for yourself to enjoy?
: If you say this from the view of beeing helpful and have a
: attitude of respect towards the other attenders of the party, I
: totally agree with you. There should be two separate nets at
: TG98, one for people who only come to play Quake and similar
: games, and one for people that use it for internet, and other
: purposes. I think it would please both sides of interest very much.

No that's not what I meant. Selfish little me..

: But if you say this just to promote an attitude of selfishness, and
: your only purpose is to take most of the net capacity and use it for
: your pleasures and others displeasure, then its a matter of a totally
: different case. I think both sides (people who come to tg98 to quake,
: and anti-quakers) have a natural permission to be there, but it would
: be very nice if they respected each others, and shared the resources
: among them fairly.

How could splitting the net up be displeasure to anyone?
You and your freinds wouldn't have anything to do with us, and the
speed would increase for both parties. And here you are talkiing about respect
and I do respect those who travell to TG to do what TG actually is about, but
I see now that you definately don't respect me. And please explain to me how you
intend to use the net to constructive purposes. Sure making a demo is constructive,
but I think quake is also constructive game. And it's fun too.
As far as I see both these to things are just useless anway.
Due to my lousy english I think I'll stop right there..

: Maybe it is impossible for the tech-crew to put up two different
: networks with the kind of resources they have available, so
: we'll have to live with that. On the other side it would be a
: cheerful delight to have two separate networks.

I agree. I don't mind sharing the network with you guys, but
I know you guys mind sharing it with us..

: : This is of course quake1 servers.

: Why?

Becouse I think most of the ppl who come to play, want to play quake1.
I know I do..

: : Quake will survive..
: : NoT

: You said it yourself.. "not"!

Well, guess you didn't understand my nick is NoT and quake will survive.

(I'll add naughty so it will be easier for you to understand)
