A Crews Workday

We've had a hospitant from "Crew for a day", Hansiman, and he interviewed OptimizE, 7rym and Spacix about their workday. We hope to see you at The Gathering Crew 2008!

Tasks: Aquire equipment to compos. Make sure that the schedule is being kept at all times and make sure that the ones responsible for compos have everything that they need. Answer questions regarding rules.

He thinks it´s fun being a member of the crew. He wants to do the good things even better, and offer a service to the participants. He would also like to front demo, since TG originally was a demoscene-party, but has become more of a gaming event lately, so he wishes to keep the spirit of demo alive.

He´s attended TG 6-7 times before, where he has been crew in 3-4 of them.

7rym

7rym, soon to be 35, but feels like he´s 80 without coffee.

He´s a member of event: vision, but has no responsibilities. The other ones do the working, while he functions as a "glue" that keeps them together. He´s TG´s front-figure onstage. His task is to entertain everyone, using one of several ways to entertain people, including joy, laughter, and irritation.

His daily work-routine can be described as chaos. He makes the program that is being run onstage. He talks with the chiefs and the technical and productional part of the scene-shows. He also tries to come up with new horse jokes, (but since he fails at that, he only knows one). From 6 and throughout the evening he´s the centerpiece of the stage.

He didn´t really want to be a member of the crew. He has partaken as a participant, but was used by several of the crew-stations, and finally Vegard was able to lure him into a crew-shirt. He feels that he´s part of something big, and can pass it on to the other participants. He feels that it´s untrue that the crew is in charge of the entertaining of the participants, since the crew has a tendency to become to routined, while you need the participants point of view when it comes to entertaining them.

He has been here about 8-10 times before.

His task is to organize the crew, and make sure that all preparations have been done. He makes sure that the desk, check-in and reception has been make ready for the participants.

He get´s up at 6:30, drinks some coffee, and makes sure that there hasn´t been done any errors with the money during the night. He´s in charge of the crew-shifts on day and night. He also needs to be available on the radio if he´s needed for help. He can get to bed at 2 am. He feels that being a member of the crew is fun. There are a lot of fun people in the crew. He´s in info: desk because it´s where he started, so he´s just been hanging around there.

He´s been at TG for 3 years, where he´s been a member of the crew for all 3.
