As long as The Gathering has existed, creativity and imagination has been an essential part of the party experience. As a party with its roots in the demoscene cyberculture, we encourage our attendees to add to the party experience with their creativity.
Hundreds of talented programmers, musicians and graphicians have contributed throughout the years, competing for honor, glory and cash prizes.
The themes for the fast intro are: Crab, Dr. Phil and people ruining the demoscene.

The Gathering is a place where playing games is about more than relaxing and having fun. Some of the world's best cyber-athletes have cut their teeth in the game competitions at The Gathering, where gamers of all skill levels meet to challenge each other.
