Fast Game Dev & The Gathering Programming Championship (C/C++ only) started 12:00 wednesday.

Gameplay is more important than graphics and music in Fast Game Dev.

Time as a tool was chosen to suit this year's TG theme: The Future is Back.

TGPC has elements involving Python, Javascript, PHP and C/C++

Fast Game Dev is a competition in which you're given a limited time to produce an original game based on a theme given by the Creativia crew. This is to ensure that all the games are fresh and that a significant amount of the work is done within the fast game dev time limit. For more information read the Fast Game Dev competition rules.

The theme for Fast Game Dev is: Time as a tool.

The Gathering Programming Competition is a series of challenges in various unrelated fields. This taxes the participants with various programming related tasks. You need to the C and C++ programming languages to solve these problems. For more info and rules, check out the TGPC competition rules.

Earlier it was stated you could use more languages, but bugs made it impossible to include support for other languages.

If you have any questions about these competitions feel free to ask us on IRC, #tg-creativia on EFNet, or come to the Creativia infodesk. Remember that it always pays off to read the rules carefully.
