New video competition!

We’re kicking this new competition at The Gathering off with the single #NOFILTER by Linni Meister, and at your disposal are every single image from her instagram account and personal blog. The theme of the song is of course social media, which creates some interesting possibilities for visual themes, but that is by no means a requirement.

Video to music has found many new forms (over the past) few years. Back in the day you had a music video or nothing at all, but with the rise of YouTube, new ways to make audio pleasing for the eyes appear daily. From the advanced kinetic typography-videos, to simple audio spectrums combined with pleasing visuals, there is no right or wrong way to approach this contest. This can really be solved in any way you see fit, as long as the end result is possible to upload to a video service.

This contest is presented in cooperation with Universal Music who would like to share the following:

We're always on the lookout for new talents across multiple genres, not only music. We will look through every submission, and if something looks interesting we will definitely reach out for professional assignments later on. This field is booming and we can’t find new talent quick enough! If you would like personal feedback on your submission we would be more than happy to open a dialogue, no matter the outcome of this competition.
