According to Wikipedia, Tinder is a dating mobile app. Using geolocation technology, users can set a specific radius, and they will have the option to match with anyone that is within that distance.

Is it possible to find true love at TG? And most important – can you find it on Tinder? We met some of our lovely participants you can match with here on TG, say hello to Ole, Jannicke and Erlend. We also gathered some tips and tricks for those of you using Tinder!

Tinder came over us like a tidal wave a few years back. While it's not as hyped up anymore, a lot of people still use this dating app. It's supposed to be a quick and easy way to get to know other people you think you would be a good match to. When two people like each other's profiles it's a match and you can move on to the fun part, talking to your match.
We're interested in finding out if Tinder works well at TG, and if it's possible to find true love using it here. To do that, we had to find the Tinder-heroes of TG and meet them. We also talked to some random participants to ask them to share their best pick-up line.

Tinder matches: Around 120 in total
Best pick-up line: I don't really have a good pick-up line, I'm not the cheesy kind of guy, I'm more of a nice guy. I tend to be more direct and write something like "I'm so lucky I got a match with a cute girl like you". And that seems to work.
Do you have faith in Tinder?: I always hope to find someone at Tinder, but I also use it as entertainment. Finding love at TG, on the other hand, is something I don’t have faith in, but it would be awesome. It’s not that important if the girls I match with are interested in gaming, but a potential girlfriend must be into it. The best thing that could happen with a match here today would be to meet up with her, take her in to town for pizza and get to know her better. Maybe we could game together afterwards!

Would you meet any matches here?: Yeah, I could easily meet someone here at TG if we matched on Tinder, why not? For me, it's important that the guys I match with like gaming, it’s more fun playing together. It doesn't really matter what he plays as long as he likes gaming in general, but a bonus if we play some of the same games. The best thing that could happen today if I got a match was to have a mattress to sleep on. If I were to go on a date here in the venue, I would probably ask him to eat pizza with me!
Tinder matches: Around 60 in total
Would you meet any matches here?: Yes, I could meet someone that I've matched with here on TG. If it happens it happens. But when I'm here that's not the first thing on my mind, if it happens then that will be a bonus.
Do you have faith in Tinder?: I think Tinder is a good place to meet people, like any other place. I doubt I will find someone here, it would have been fun though. I don`t think that there are a lot of single girls here. The best thing that could happen if I got a match today would probably be to be interviewed [sucking up to the interviewer is always a good idea! –editor]. If I was going to ask someone on a date here, I would take them up on the tribunes to watch the view. There number of romantic locations here is very limited.
We contacted participants' ombudsman Marianne Skadal to get her view on participants that use Tinder on TG. "That participants use Tinder on TG is just nice. Well, it depends what they are looking for, but Tinder is a good app to meet people with similar interests. If I have to give some advice on how to get in touch with people at TG it must be: be to be nice to each other! If you have trouble with your computer, ask if someone of the opposite sex can help you for example. And to those of you looking for love at TG, do not forget good hygiene!"
