Movie Premiere - "Exile"

Thursday at 01 AM there will be a film premiere of the Norwegian documentary film "Exil" on the big screen at The Gathering. The movie has a focus on online role playing games, and the effect it has on peoples lives, good and bad.

The movie is directed by Erlend Eidsem Hansen. In the movie he follows four people who have a strong relationship to computer games, and learns why they use so much of their time playing computer games.
 
«The movie describes a new, increasing phenomenon; young people getting caught in the world of online gaming. There, it's easy to spend hour after hour, day after day, month after month, year after year. For some people, this is a concious choice. Others become completely lost in the world of gaming, terrified of missing something important in the game. It is a part of what we know as gaming culture. Here, new ways of communicating is constantly evolving.» is the plot line of the film.
 
The film premiere is set to 01 AM Thursday 9th of April at The Gathering. The film premiere is also a part of a record breaking attemt at getting most people to watch a documentary film at a big screen at the same time.
For those who wish to enjoy the film in a more peaceful atmosphere, it will be shown again at 06 PM in the auditory the same day. There it will also be possible to discuss the movie.
