We've got microwave ovens!

Planning to make some food yourself during The Gathering? Fear not, we've got just what you need.

This year, we have some special devices available for our visitors. These machines use radiaton to heat water and other polarized molecules, such as fat, and are known as microwave ovens. The microwaves have been providing visitors with warm, tasty food for many years, and we would like to assure you that nothing will change (at least not for the worse,) this year. Next to the microwave ovens, you will find some other neat inventions, water boilers.

It might be smart to stock up on some microwaveable food. A diet consisting of hamburgers and fries might sound delicious, but it's quite expensive in the long run. In addition to this, microwaving some food takes between two and five minutes. Ordering food in the cafeteria usually takes quite some time, so this gives you more time to do whatever you like to do at The Gathering.

We can recommend the following:

  • Most food from Fjordland
  • Practically everything from Toro's "Velbekomme"-series
  • "Gorbys" and other microwave pizzas
  • Toro's Rett I Koppen product line (cup-size portions of soup)
  • Mr. Lee Noodles

We would also like to remind our visitors that warming frozen pizzas in a microwave oven is a very bad idea, and that it should not be attempted.

You will find the microwave ovens and water boilers in the north end of the ship.
