Why 2,9Gbit/s + 100Mbit/s?

As we previously announced the internet connection this year is 2.9Gbit + 100Mbit/s. Here the explanation for this.

The reason for this is that some players have experienced difficulty playing online games. Games with servers outside the ship often get high latency because so much of the line is already used. (Se graph)

To deal with this problem, Tech:Net will reserve 100Mbit/s for some games and they want you tip them for games that could be routed through this line. Examples of games that already stands on the list:

  • World of Warcraft
  • Battle.net-games
  • Eve Online

Do you have a tip for which games should be on this list? Post your proposal on the forums.

What we need is games with centralized servers. This is MMORPG, RTS, etc. The game must always have the same IP, not a changing. It is important that you include the IP address to the game in your post, so that we don’t need to find out ourself. This can be done by using TCPView and find the IPs the game uses.

PS:
This is an extra service provided by the tech crew. We can't guarantee that your suggestions will be followed. Only a few games will be chosen.
