Howto: Game Compo Signups
Hello there all gamers. Its very important that all contestants signs up for the game competitions before the deadline. That's why we now have made a "how-to" for signups, so that you can sign up yourself or your team at the right time.
The deadline for stage 1 and 2 singup is 23:00 Wednesday 19.03.08 (TG Day 1)

Stage 1:
To complete stage 1 of the signup for game competitions you have to log onto www.partyticket.net (you need a ticket to do this!). When logged in click on The Gathering 2008 in the top menu first, then choose games.
Here you will find a list of our game competitions. Choose one of these and click "Open for signup".
Here you will find some info about the game competition and it is important that you read everything.
On the bottom of this page you will see "The tournament is still open for signing up, if you wish to enter the tournament click here to sign up". This is where you sign you or your team up. If it is a 1 v 1 tournament you are signed up only by clicking this link. If it is a team based game you will have to make a team as well. To do this, click on "The tournament is still open for signing up, if you wish to enter the tournament click here to sign up".
On the next page you will see "To create or view your teams click here". Click this and select "Start new team" on the next page. Pick a team name and write a description of your team, then click on "save".
And to compete you have to have all 5 members of your team added. To do this, click on "[list]". Here you can invite members to your team. This is done by clicking "Invite new member". Search for your friends here and click on them. They will now recieve an email they have to click on to approve their status as a team member.
Once you have 5 members you have to go back to the main menu for The Gathering 2008, go back into the "Games" menu and select the game competition you want to compete in. When you have done that and gotten to the next page, click "Please pick the team that you wish to enter into the tournament:
Stage 2:
This one is pretty easy. Once you have arrived at The Gathering you just have to stop by Event:Game (ask Info:Desk if you are unsure about where you can find us) and confirm that you have arrived and that you are ready to compete in the game competition. You will also get a little information from us.
We wish that as many as possible can join #tg.game at QuakeNet (no.quakenet.org) to keep in touch with our game admins if there are any new things coming up.
