The participants were asked to send in something that would comfort the jury to give that person the first ticket to The Gathering 2008. Amongst 54 other contributions the jury has, despite hard contest, decided who the winner is. The jury says about the winner that this is a person who over time has contributed with many excellent casemods at The Gathering, and they hope that he by winning this free ticket will get the inspiration to yet again impress the participants and crew at The Gathering with one of his products.

The winner is Jan Erik Vangen aka Bizardo, and this is what he meant did him worthy of a free ticket: He has been a visitor at The Gathering since TG00 and has attended every casemodcontest every year since then. He has earlier brought casemods like Tux, Bender, Leela and Stewie, and he feels that he has inspired others to also make casemods. This year he doesn’t have the possibility to make another casemods, but he wants to come to TG anyway. And it might happen that he will bring bender with him, as a reunion.
