TG08 Network details

Finally tech:net is starting to settle on a design for The Gathering 2008. With the help of our great sponsors we are looking forward to a lightning fast network without any bottlenecks.

This year we have two huge core routers which all edge switches will be connected directly to. These will have a 20 gigabit interconnect between them!

Fun fact, counting both core routers we have:

• 390 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
• 12 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

Further more we will have a 20 gigabit link between the corerouters and our telegw which handles the 3 gigabit internet connection.

• core2: Cisco 6509 with Sup720 (Provided by Cisco & Ementor)
• telegw: Cisco 7609 with 2 x Sup720 (Provided by TheLAN)
• nocgw: Cisco 7606 med RSP720 (Provided by NTE Bredbånd)
• the edge switches (table switches) will be the same Zyxel ES-3024 that were used at TG07.
