The Tournament

2.1  Format

This tournament will consist of a single elimination tournament with a maximum of thirty-two (32) players per group.

2.2 Concept

Two players will meet in each match. Three (3) random games will be chosen from a pot of ten (10) games. Each player will choose one (1) game, and the administrator will choose the final game. Prior to the selection of games, each player is able to secretly ban two (2) games that might be chosen. Players will not know the identity of the games that their opponent has chosen to ban. If both players choose to ban the same games, the ban choices will still stand, i.e. you do not get another banning round if you and your opponent chose the same games to ban. After the administrators have removed the banned games, each participant will choose one game from the pot, and the administrator will choose the final game, giving a total of three (3) games.

2.3 Win

To win the round, a competitor must win two (2) out of the three (3) games played. Rules for what will constitute a win for each game are defined in Section 3 of this document.

2.4 The Games

The ten games will be:

  • Orbit
  • Mario Kart
  • Donkey Konga
  • Tetrinet
  • Kinect Sports
  • CS:GO
  • Audiosurf
  • StepMania
  • SC2
  • Trackmania
