League of Legends is an action RTS/MOBA-game developed and published by Riot Games. Featuring arena styled matches in the "Fields of Justice", focusing on team-play, countering the opponent as well as good tactics. We are eager to see teams step up to show what they are made of.

League of Legends is a free MOBA game that is a lot of fun to play with your friends or just by yourself if you need to kill some time. You can download League of Legends from their official web-page, then make an account and head out to the fields of justice to conquer the enemy.

League of Legends Ruleset

1      General

1.1      The tournament referees are eSports Norway and the TG14 Game Crew. The referees will have the last word in all situations. The decisions taken by the referees shall over-ride any rule found within this document.

1.2     The referees have the right to change, add to or delete any rule within this document at any time without notice to the participants. We encourage you to check the rules regularly to ensure that you are following the most up to date rules.

1.3    By entering the competition, all entrants confirm that they agree to follow the rules, and that they understand that the referees shall have the final word within the competition.

2      Format rules

2.1      Tournament format: 5v5.

2.2      You can sign up for the tournament at http://binarybeast.co.uk/xLoL14041511. Please make sure that you confirm your registration at the game desk after you register with Binary Beast.

2.3      Match format: Best of one (1) match, semi-finals and final will be best of three (3).

2.4    Match winner: The team that destroys the opponents Nexus, or if the opponent chooses to forfeit the match (/ff).

3      Match settings

3.1      Game mode: Tournament Draft
3.2      Map: Summoners Rift
3.3      Server: EU West

3.3     All team Captains should be available on the IRC channel during the entire event. The channel will be #tg.lol on Quakenet. You can use Mirc, or the IRC chat client provided by TG (webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tg.lol).

3.4    Players must choose a nickname showing which team they are representing as well as their in-game nicknames on IRC (eg. EGSnoopeh).

4      Picks

4.1      The team that is on top in bracket or the left team in the match setup will be blue side.

4.2      For BO3 (Best of three) the teams will switch sides for round two.

4.3    In case of a third game in a BO3, the teams will agree between themselves who gets blue side. If the two teams can’t agree, an admin must be contacted.

5      Important rules

5.1      The team that is on top in bracket or the left team in the match setup, is the team responsible for setting up the game and making sure that the opponent’s Captain and TG Admins get the game name.

5.2      When the match is over, the team Captains must take screenshots of the result and report the result to the official tournament bracket or an admin.

5.3      If any issues should occur before first blood or the three-minute mark, the game will be remade. The opposing team shall be notified right away and a screenshot must be taken.

5.4     If anything happens with the server, making it so the game cannot continue, the team Captains must contact the official tournament Admins right away.

5.5    The team Captains are expected to read and understand all of the LoL rules, and inform their players of the rules.

6      Abuse and exploitation

6.1     Bug exploiting: Exploiting known or newly discovered bugs during the game will result in disqualification of the exploiting team.

6.1.1      Definition of bugs:
i)       
Anything that will give one of the teams an unfair advantage.
ii)     Anything that makes the game crash or stop

7      Purposely Disconnecting

7.1    Any player that has disconnected from the client without reconnecting, with the intention to get a remake of the game, will get his/her team a loss by default.

8      Remake

8.1      If an Admin says the game should be remade, it will be remade.

8.2      If a remake occurs, the game settings will be Blind pick, and all the players must pick the same champions as were picked before the remake.

8.3      If the teams gets the wrong side (Blue/Purple) the game will be remade and the same champions will be picked.

8.4     The game will be remade if any if these issues should occur:

8.4.1        The game crashes
8.4.2      The game hangs
8.4.3    Server spikes
8.4.4    Streams goes offline
8.4.5      Technical issues
8.4.6    Medical issues

8.5    The Captain may pause the game for a good reason. If the game is paused, a note should be given to the admin with the background/reason for the pause. The pause may not exceed 15 minutes, and if the opposing team does not start the game again within this time, a walkover will be awarded to the affected team.

9      Complaints

9.1      If a team want to file a complaint, the team captain shall::

9.1.1        Contact a admin
9.1.2       State your case and present evidence.

10  Teams

10.1      Each team can have up to nine (9) players (5 players and 3 spares). Reserve players may be used if the opposing team agrees to it.

10.2     All players must be registered 12 hours before the tournament begins.

10.3     All of the players that are going to participate must be registered on the official homepage of the tournament and must be present at TG14 on a valid ticket.

10.4     Every sub-account and nick change must be registered on the tournament’s official homepage if they are going to be used in the tournament.

10.5    A player cannot play for two (2) teams. If this occurs both teams will be disqualified.

11  Games

11.1      Admins decide when the games will be played. Any team that is lacking players when a game is supposed to start will get a loss by default in the group stage and will be disqualified in the knockout stage.

11.2    Every team must meet up 30 minutes before the game is scheduled to start, and the game must be started before or at the start time.

12  Spectators

12.1      Spectators will not be allowed.

12.2    Only admins are allowed to spectate if necessary.

13  Warnings and Disqualification

13.1      A player may get a warning if he does any of the following:

13.1.1        Refusal to follow the instructions of any game administrator.
13.1.2      Arriving late to the game or missing a game.
13.1.3    Using foul language and/or displaying poor behaviour.
13.1.4   Behaving in an unsportsmanlike manner.

13.2      A player may be disqualified for one of the following:
13.2.1   Getting more than one warning.
13.2.2   Any act of intimidation, bullying, or violence (physical or verbal) against participants, observers or game administrators.
13.2.3   Using cheats or other unfair gaming tactics (i.e. interruption of opponent, physical blocking, exploits, cheat codes, etc.).
13.2.4   Misleading a judge.
13.2.5   Not being present when a game is due to start.
13.2.6   Exploiting any bugs that clearly alter the game's functionality.
