In this competition you will have to use all the experience you’ve gained from playing the games to be able to make the coolest possible multiplayer-map!

The general rules apply to this competition. Please read them.

How do I participate?

  • You are to make a multiplayer-map for one of the following three games:
Counter-Strike: Source, Team Fortess 2 or Unreal Tournament 3
  • The map will have to be team-based, and balanced for 6-10 players.
  • To follow up on this year’s TG-theme, which is Transylvania, your map will have to have a Horror/Scary visual style!

What do I deliver?

  • You deliver the map-file that we can use to run in one of the three games. Just the map-file, no other external files to be able to run the map will be allowed.
  • The map should have a name, and if you want you can also submit a short background story for the map.
  • Minimum of 3 (max 10) screenshots from different stages of your development process, as well as a overview screenshot from above the map showing the outline.
  • 2-3 screenshots that showcases your map the best possible way, think cool angles etc.!

How do I win?

The winner will be the one who creates the map that appears as the most balanced and fun to play, we will also put emphasis on how well you follow the visual style. It’s also important that the map looks good in regards to placement of static meshes/textures and so on. We will deduct points for collision-errors and other bugs. A jury from the Game Makers Guild will select the winners from these criterias.
