Heroes of Newerth

Heroes of Newerth is an action real time strategy game where tactics and team co-ordination play an important role. The main objective in Heroes of Newerth is to destroy the enemy throne. These thrones are protected by multiple towers through 3 different lanes.

The player controls a Hero who fights for them and becomes stronger by leveling up. Experience is given through defeating neutral creeps, lane creeps or enemy heroes, and by buying items with gold to gain an advantage over enemy objects and Heroes. Gold is gained passively over time through killing neutral creeps, lane creeps, and destroying enemy objectives and enemy Heroes. You can also 'deny' the enemy players by killing your own creeps or objects (towers, buildings) to deny them the gold earned.

Lions E-Sport Klubb, in association with Logitech, will host a Heroes of Newerth tournament at The Gathering 2013.

The game will start off in group stage (Best of 2 maps) before we round up scores and end up with the top two teams of each group advancing to a Single Elimination Playoff phase. Every match in the Single Elimination Playoff will be played in a Best of 3 format.
