Compo case

This year, the example code is much smaller and harder to crush. We hope you will enjoy working on it. The task for the Small HTML competition at The Gathering 2012 is as follows:
The assignment is to create a sunflower fractal made out of hearts, and using the following conditions:

• The effect as rendered on the screen must use a resolution of 720x720 pixels.
• The effect must not be animated - we want a static image.
• The colors can not be changed.
• The hearts should be easily recognizable and distributed evenly as the example shows.
• It should have the exact same amount of hearts as in the reference code.
• The effect does not have to be identical to the reference implementation, but should look mostly like it, if in doubt come to the Creative Helpdesk and ask.
• To avoid this turning into an image optimizing competition, base64 or similar image encoding tricks are NOT allowed. If in doubt, come to the Creative Helpdesk and ask us if your entry is valid.

Regler

1. Innlevering

   Oppgaven vil bli annonsert 5. April 03:00, og deadline for innlevering vil være 24 timer etter annonseringen av oppgaven.

   Bidrag til konkurransen skal leveres gjennom det web-baserte compo-systemet, som én enkelt .html-fil.

2. Kåring av en vinner

   Vinneren vil være bidraget som har minst filstørrelse. For å vinne må alle kriteriene gitt i oppgaven tilfredstilles.

3. Bruk av script og stilsett

   Bruk av CSS og klientside-kode er tillatt.

4. Inkludering av eksterne ressurser

   Bidraget kan ikke inkludere eller referere eksterne ressurser eller filer, verken lokalt på datamaskinen eller via nettverket.

5. Nettlesere og standarder

   Bidraget vil testet i siste tilgjengelige stabile versjon av Mozilla Firefox.

   Bidraget er ikke nødt til å validere mot noen standarder.

6. Minimum antall bidrag for å gjennomføre konkurransen

   Konkurransen vil bli avholdt hvis vi får tre (3) eller flere bidrag. Hvis ikke vil konkurransen bli avlyst.

7. Premier (i NOK)

   • 1. plass 2500,-
   • 2. plass 1500,-
   • 3. plass 1000,-

8. Generelle regler

   De Overordnede reglene for de kreative konkurransene på The Gathering 2012 gjelder for denne konkurransen.
