Welcome all gamers

Welcome to this years edition of The Gathering. Game Crew wish to welcome everyone to The Gathering 2012 and hope as many as possible will participate in this years gaming competitions. We will continue where we left off after last year's success, and hope we can make this year even better. Like before, we will host a wide range of competitions and we hope everyone will enjoy participating in them. The competitions will be held both in our own area, professionally set up with computers, and throughout the arena on the participants' own computers.

This will be the third year in a row we will have our own area dedicated to professional e-sports. Like before we will set up a huge area in the northern corner of the Olympic arena to create our own "Game:Arena". In this area, some of the competitions will be played out in full, from start to finish; others will only have their finals played here. The Arena is created to put a spotlight on competitive gaming (also known as e-sports), and will also be the game crew's arena during The Gathering 2012.

By the Game:Arena you will also find the Game:Desk. This is game crew's own info-desk for everything about the gaming competitions. Everything from basic and technical questions to signups for the gaming competitions will be handled here.

There's lots of fun waiting for you, even if you dont want to compete yourself. In addition to watching the games live by the Game:Arena or on the main stage, you can view all the important matches on our professional stream with expert commentators.
