April Fools' joke: Do not bring any food to TG09!

The VAT battle is over, but The Gathering is still in grave danger. Both the fire brigade and the health authorities have now grown tired of seeing the ever increasing amounts of garbage in the hall. The amount of garbage the past few years has both blocked escape routes between the seat rows and caused a significant health hazard. We are therefore forced to prohibit all food between the seat rows.
All storing or consumption of food between the seat rows will be strictly prohibited. Eating will only be allowed in the designated eating areas. These areas will be the restaurants in the north end, as well as an extra restaurant we will create in the south end to meet the increased demand.
Buying food in the stores and restaurants outside Vikingskipet in Hamar will still be allowed, but this food must be eaten before entering the hall. Our security personnel will make sure nobody brings any food inside, and will perform body-searches and look through luggage if they deem it necessary.
The Gathering is very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this new restriction, but we must point out that it is crucial for ensuring that we will not be shut down.
Limited amount of food lockers
We have managed to get hold of 200 lockers which may be used for storing food. The lockers are 40x40x60 cm large and will be placed in the sleeping tent to keep the food cool. Renting such a locker will cost NOK 200, plus a NOK 100 deposit. The deposit will be paid back when the key is returned.
Storing food in the area around Vikingskipet and elsewhere in the sleeping tent is strictly prohibited. Food stored in open air or in unathorised containers will possibly attract rats, and is under no circumstance allowed. Failure to comply with this restriction will cause immediate eviction from the event.
Due to the limited amount of lockers we will give people with special needs priority. If you have allergies or require special food for some other reason, send an application to foodlockers@gathering.org where you explain why you need a locker. If we still have available lockers after assigning one to each person with special needs we will start allocating lockers to the first groups of 5 people or more who have contacted foodlockers@gathering.org. Any remaining lockers will be allocated in a first come, first served basis.
