Set a record at TG09!

21. Mar 02:27 / Knut Auvor Grythe

The final deadline is monday 30th March. If you want to set a record for the Guinness World Record - register today! This year Guinness World Records will be present at The Gathering. Their goal is to register new records both for the regular book and for a separate book for computer games!

If you have a suggestion for a record which can be set, e-mail us at rekord@gathering.org. The record attempts can be anything, for example the world's largest pillow fight, fastest shotgun coke drinking, extreme overclocking, the world's longest game of Guitar Hero, the world's largest collection of WoW artifacts, or anything else you might excel in. You may also discuss possible records in our new record discussion forum.

To set the record on TG you must register in advance by e-mailing rekord@gathering.org. This is important! Remember that you must follow the rules for becoming a record breaker to make the record count.

Special TG09 edition of Guinness World Records

Provided there is enough interest for it, Guinness World Records will create a special record book for computer gaming - a special edition only sold at TG09! The book will contain records from this year's event, and will be a great souvenir from TG. The book will only cost NOK 199, which is quite fair.

Let us know immediately if you want to buy it!

To help Guinness World Records know if there is enough interest to create the book we need some feedback from you. We have created a poll on the forums where the people who are interested in buying the book can let us know. Please respond immediately! The book will only be made if there is sufficient interest.
