Tournament starts: Thursday 9th april at 12am.
Version: 6.59d
Patch: 1.23
Gamemode: 5vs5 -cm (captains mode, with bans, picks done upfront)
Hero bans: None
Format: Double Elimination, best out of one. Loser Bracket Final and from Semi Finals are played best of three.
Server: Hamachi/LC/Warhamachi
Every team must have a teamleader (captain) who will be responsible for their team. All leaders (and preferably all team members) must be at at #tg.dota @ quakenet.org at any given time. There will be info here that will not be on gathering.org.
To sign up a team, the teamleader must create a team on partyticket.net. He puts in the teamname and choses which players who will be in it. Each player must aprove this by login on to partyticket.net.
Teamleaders must come to the gamecrew and confirm that the whole team is at TG.
A team needs at least five players. If a team consists of more than five players they are allowed to switch players between each game. All players must be added to the teams roster when registering.
Team leaders are responsible for uploading results, checking the brackets for new opponents and ensuring that his team's players are present and mannerly.
We will use Hamachi for each game at TG. A bot will create every server for you to join.
If you can't make Hamachi work, you can also use Warhamachi or online with LC (listchecker).
PS: Playing on battle.net with LC requires a valid CD-Key.
You need to know how Hamachi works before you get to TG. This will save time and resources for everyone. You should use 1.0.1.5 which is the most stable version. You can get the older version here: http://www.oldapps.com/Hamachi.php
The team that lost has to report the game on the webpage. If you lost in winner brackets, you will face a new opponent in loser brackets.
If the losing team did not report the winning team will have to notify a referee or come by the crew stand.
A walkover will be given if one of the players has not showed up 20 minutes after the match was supposed tostart. Every round has a specific time set to it, which is when the match should start. Both teams shall be ready to start by the start of the round, not get ready at the time given to play the game.
Opposing teams should get ready 10 minutes before the time of your game to prevent delays.
Teamleader is responsible to tell the dota-admin if the opposing team is not ready at the time for walkover.
If you suspect that your opponent has broken the rules you have to submit a complaint to a referee.
Please have proof (screenshot/replay) for your complaint ready when submitting it to the dota-admin.
You are NOT ALLOWED to submit a complaint if you:
• Have started your next game.
• It was more than an hour since your game ended.
A referee is authorised to:
• Reverse the result of a game
• Revoke the result of a game (the game will be replayed)
• Give a team a warning
• Ban a team
Two warnings will result in a ban. If you are banned you are not allowed to continue playing in the tournament.
The referee has full authority to give the verdict at his/her own discretion.
Examples:
A warning might be given to a team not following the item limitations. If that team won the game, a referee may also reverse the result of the game.
NOTE: If this happens in the winner brackets the team given the loss will continue in the loser brackets.
A ban might be given to a team manipulating the game, e.g. by using maphack.
Only dota-admin can observe a game.
All games must be played in -cm mode.
Blue and Pink are the team captains. A random side starts the process (you can customize this, see below)
Ban Time: 40
Pick Time: 60
Extra Time: 45
You start by alternating 1/1/1 in the ban phase. Each captain removes up to 4 heroes. Running out of time does not result in a random hero ban.
After that you enter the 1/2/2/ pick phase. Each captain picks the heroes his team will use.
If at any time you run out of time, you start to use up your extra time. If you run out and you are in pick phase, you get a random hero.
Creeps spawn 90 seconds after the pick draft phase is over. Right after the hero pick phase ends, the 5 heroes for your team are presented with a checkmark on them (RD style) allowing players on your team to pick which one they want to be.
The captain that starts this process is random. If you want to give the starting to Sentinel, type «-cm 1» or «-cm 2» for Scourge after the game mode is entered.
The picks, bans, timers, etc are all presented in a board for easy viewing by team mates and observers.
Save every ten minutes, after first blood, after every major battle and after a rax getting destroyed and on a teams demand if it is rational (demanding a save after every kill is NOT rational).
If a player disconnects within the first ten (10) minutes of the game it must be replayed, unless first blood has been drawn.
If one player on a team disconnects after the first ten (10) minutes, then the game will be replayed from the last save, if that save was made less than ten minutes ago. However, if the team has gained an advantage since the last save (a rax getting downed or having 3 more kills than the other team during the time since the last save), the game may be decided by a referee to be played on. In case of a dispute, pause the game and try to get a referee. If you save the game save it with another name, otherwise it will be impossible to restore the game from the point when the player dropped.
If the save was more than ten minutes ago the remaining players may choose to play on alone, unless both teams agree to replay from the save. If the game is played on you can sell the disconnected players items or share them between you and use him after that. If an item is given to a player in game, he can't sell it immediately afterwards.
If both players or both teams disconnect at the same time (defined as within one (1) second of each other), then the game will be replayed. If the game is judged to be clearly won by one team at the time of disconnect then it will count as a win for that team.
YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO SAVE THE REPLAY, regardless of your team winning or losing.
Boosting/Pooling
Any pooling is forbidden. Sharing minor health/mana regeneration items between heroes in the same lane for a short period of time does not count.
The sharing of basic regeneration items, wards, consumables, and gems is allowed. Shared items have to be given back in a reasonable amount of time if they are not used. Please remember that whenever you purchase an item you are the sole owner of the item -- you can share it for a couple minutes if it is on the list below, but it must be returned or used shortly. The following items are the only allowable items:
• Sentry wards
• Observer wards
• Clarity Potion
• Flasks of Sapphire Water
• Chickens (for usage)
• Ring of Regeneration
• Ring of Health
• Sobi Mask
• Void Stone
• Perserverance
• TP Scroll is allowed to be given to another player permanently
• Ancient Tango of Essifation is allowed to be given to another player
• Cheese
• Aegis
• Gem of Truesight is allowed to be given to another player
• Bottle only if it is not empty
Maximum of:
2 Necronomicons per team
2 Euls AND 2 Guinsoos in total per team.
Enemy Items
When an item is dropped by a player or chicken and recovered by an opposing player, this item is considered an Enemy Item.
A team may freely use or trade an enemy item to allied players at any time.
For example, a Sent chicken dies and drops a Staff of Wizardry. The staff is then recovered by a Scourge player. The staff is now considered an enemy item and can be freely shared between the members.
Suiciding to give out a Rapier is not allowed. For example, if a Sent player makes a rapier, he is not allowed to suicide on purpose (Roshan, creeps, etc.) to give out the item to another Sent player. In enemy item case, a Sent player drops a Rapier and is picked up by a Scourge player. It’s not allowed to give away the Rapier by suiciding on purpose (Roshan, creeps, etc.). Divine Rapier is allowed to be sold.
- You are not allowed to attack any tower on the map without creep support. Creep support is defined as any of allied creeps being in range of the said tower.
- You have to enter the base with creeps but they don't have to be in the same line as you. As soon as creeps enter the base, the complete base is allowed to be destroyed.
- As long as there were creeps in base when you entered, you are allowed to keep attacking even if they die. If you leave the base at this moment you need to have new creeps in the next attack.
- If a tower is denyable (below 10% HP) and is not a base tower, backdooring rules do not apply.
Any abuse of known bugs or any use of the program/map that is not intended is forbidden.
For example Earth Shakers «fissure» to block own creeps in their lane, or Furions «sprout» to stop creeps in the lane.
AutohpBars, AutoHotkey, Ventrilo or any other programs filling the same purpose are allowed. Using any other program will result in a ban.
If you are uncertain whether a program is allowed or not, ask a referee.
Hamachi – A program used to create a virtual LAN. Even tough you are not on the same LAN you can now play using the LAN-mode built into the game. Reduces lag.
LC/Listchecker – A program used by the host to create a direct connection to the other players. Reduces lag in the game.
IRC – Internet Relay Chat. Allows you to chat with other persons online. mIRC is a popular program to use.
Boosting/Pooling – When one player on the team buys items that later is used by another player on the team.
Dota – Defence of the Ancients. A map made for WarCraft 3 The Frozen Throne.
